Going Solar and Staying Connected
Sunrun is available throughout most of New Hampshire, in both Eversource and Unitil service areas .
Going solar from Sunrun doesn’t mean that you disconnect from your current electric company. Instead you use the grid as a way to store your energy. When your panels produce more electricity than your home needs (like during the day), the excess is sent to the utility grid and you are credited by the utility. Later, you can use the credits to draw power back from the grid (like at night). This is called net-metering, and it allows you to maximize your savings.
