Nation's Largest Solar Lead Generation Company Will Operate as a Subsidiary of Sunrun Continuing to Provide Leads to Solar Industry Clients
Sunrun, the largest dedicated residential solar company in the United States, announced today it has acquired Clean Energy Experts (CEE), one of the fastest-growing consumer demand generation companies in North America, and the largest lead generation company in the solar industry. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
CEE will operate as a subsidiary of Sunrun under the CEE brand and continue to provide lead generation and management services for all existing and new clients, which include Sunrun and many other companies in the residential solar industry. Under the terms of the acquisition, CEE co-founders and presidents, Omer Atesmen and Beau Peelle will continue to oversee CEE's operations.
'This acquisition builds upon Sunrun's platform of services and tools, which aims to help solar companies reach as many consumers as possible with a great service and low cost structure,' said Tom Holland, president of Sunrun. 'We're excited to work with Clean Energy to help them reach the next level of scale by providing a key service to national and local installers, entrepreneurs, and new market entrants that will help shape the entire industry.'
Sunrun has a five-year history of collaborating with CEE to bring affordable residential solar options to consumers.
'The mission of CEE and Sunrun are aligned in terms of our focus on the customer, high quality service and driving down energy costs,' said Omer Atesmen, co-founder and president of CEE. Dr. Beau Peelle, also co-founder and president of CEE added, 'Combining our capabilities will strengthen our partnership and help us address the opportunity for home solar nationwide.'
Sunrun pioneered solar as a service, a way for homeowners to go solar without a significant upfront investment, and is the largest dedicated residential solar company in the U.S. Sunrun provides end-to-end service for homeowners to choose clean, solar energy and receive predictable pricing for solar energy for 20 years. The company designs, installs, finances, insures, monitors and maintains the solar panels on a homeowner's roof, while families pay just for the electricity at a lower rate than their current utility. Since Sunrun introduced solar as a service in 2007, it has become the preferred way for consumers to go solar in the nation’s top solar markets. For more information please visit: www.sunrun.com.
