New Hampshire Solar Tax Incentives Put you on the Bright Path
With some of the most generous solar incentives available, homeowners are able to take advantage of New Hampshire’s brightest natural resource while saving big on their electric bills. Not only can we help you make sense of New Hampshire’s incentives—we’ll help you take advantage of those incentives, hassle-free.
Property Tax Exemption
If you purchase a home solar system in New Hampshire, you’ll also be exempt from the property tax. The system’s value added to your home when you go solar is subtracted from the assessed value of your property.1 That’s a pretty big deal, considering buying your solar system will increase the value of your home.2
Federal Solar Tax Credit
On top of New Hampshire’s state solar tax credits, you’d also be eligible for the Federal Investment Tax Credit, or ITC, if you buy your own solar system outright.3 The tax credit amounts to 30% of the cost of purchasing your solar system, but only after deducting the value of your state rebates. However, ITC credits will begin stepping down from 30% at the end of 2019. The tax credit for systems in service after 12/31/19 will drop to 26%. After 12/31/20, it’ll drop even further to 22%.4 That’s why the time to go solar is now. But not to worry—we can help you maximize on all the solar savings available to you.
