California suffered almost 4,300 power outages in the past decade, impacting more than 22 million households.1 Thankfully, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) shows California is the top state for home solar in the country,2 and solar panel prices continue falling.3 So with 266 sunny days per year in Escondido,4 going solar is one of the most cost-effective ways you and your family can get the energy security you deserve.
By teaming up with Sunrun, you can produce and store your own Escondido solar energy to protect your home from outages, reduce your carbon emissions and control your electric bills. Residential electricity rates in Escondido are more than 33% higher compared to the national average.5

In fact, Sunrun customers’ systems have prevented millions of tons of carbon emissions from entering the atmosphere, the equivalent of burning billions of pounds of coal or millions of gallons of gasoline.8See our customers' stories.
As the climate changes and the U.S. power grid ages, blackouts and related wildfires will become more frequent and last longer.9 Wildfires have caused terrible losses across California in recent years.
