Below are the Terms and Conditions for the TXU Energy & Sunrun Battery Rewards program offered in partnership with TXU Energy. This program is available for mutual TXU Energy and Sunrun customers with a Sunrun-installed solar and battery system.

1. Eligibility
Prospective participants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Be a Sunrun solar and battery system customer with TXU Energy as your Retail Electric Provider in Texas.
Have an active/signed interconnection agreement with your local Transmission and Distribution Utility (TDU) to connect your solar and battery system to the grid.
Have an active electric account with TXU Energy, have no past due balances, and do not have any active deferred payment plan or any other payment arrangements with TXU Energy.
Complete the installation of the Sunrun solar battery system and obtain Permission to Operate (PTO) prior to the dispatching start date of July 1, 2024.
Agree to the TXU Energy & Sunrun Battery Rewards Terms and Conditions outlined for the pilot program.
2. Program Term
The term of your participation in the TXU Energy & Sunrun Battery Rewards program runs from July 15, 2024 - June 30, 2026.
Nothing will be required of you when the program concludes. Your solar and battery system will automatically resume pre-program behavior. If the program is renewed, you will receive notification and your participation in the program will automatically be renewed. You will continue earning rewards as long as the program is maintained unless you wish to unenroll from the program (see Section 8. Program Opt Out).
3. Enrollment
By signing this Terms and Conditions form, you have indicated your interest to enroll. Sunrun will notify you via email to confirm your participation in the program.
4. Battery Operations
As a participant, Sunrun will control and monitor your solar battery system, providing a completely hassle-free experience.
TXU Energy will notify Sunrun when a dispatch event is necessary and your battery system will be programmed to send energy to your home to serve your electric consumption with any excess energy being directed to the local grid. 1 Your battery system will participate in up to 300 dispatch events each year. A dispatch event will occur for up to four hours at a time on any given day during the term of your program. During non-event hours, your solar and battery system will automatically resume pre-program behavior. Your participation in these dispatch events helps stabilize the grid and, in the process, allows TXU Energy to pass on value to you, Sunrun battery system owner, in the form of a reward payment (see Section 5. Reward Payment).
For LG Chem and SolarEdge battery owners, your battery system will be programmed to reserve 20% of your overall capacity to power your home in case of an outage.
For Tesla Powerwall battery owners, your battery system will start with a default backup reserve of 20% at the beginning of the program, but this can be adjusted at any time in the Tesla App (except during dispatch events). The ability to adjust these settings is only available for Tesla Powerwall customers within the Tesla App. Sunrun retains the right to periodically reset the minimum state of reserve.
Your Sunrun battery system will not send any power to the grid during an outage.
TXU Energy will not have access to or the ability to control of your battery system. If you determine any solar battery deficiencies, problems, operational issues, or you want to no longer participate in the program, you must contact Sunrun directly at grid@sunrun.com.
5. Rewards Payment
You will receive $400 for your two-year participation from TXU Energy. Your first $100 prepaid reward card will be issued within four weeks after you enroll in the program. You will receive three additional $100 prepaid reward cards at 6-month intervals throughout your two year participation in the program.

6. Limitation of Liability
Participating in this program should not materially decrease the life of your solar and battery system. Sunrun is not responsible for increased battery system degradation.
You understand and agree that TXU Energy is not the manufacturer of the equipment under consideration in this program and will not be responsible for any damages caused by said equipment, and you voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury resulting from the equipment. TXU Energy makes no representations or warranties with respect to the equipment and TXU Energy expressly disclaims all warranties, express or implied, with respect to the equipment and services, including merchantability, conformity to models or samples and fitness for a particular purpose.
As a condition to your participation in the program addressed under these Terms and Conditions, you agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless TXU Energy and its agents and employees from all liability, claims, demands, costs, or losses for personal injuries, property damage, or loss of life or property, sustained by you, your agents or family, or any third parties arising out of or in any way connected with the program. You also agree to release and hold harmless TXU Energy from any liability, claim, demand, cause of action, damage or expense resulting from your participation in the program. These obligations shall survive the termination of this agreement.
7. Privacy and Data Sharing
Participating in this program means you expressly consent to Sunrun sharing your account and system operational data with TXU Energy, as needed for program administration, renewed (if the program is renewed) in accordance with the automatic renewal policy. This data includes but is not limited to data related to your identity, your energy usage and/or energy production, your electric bill, and operational data about your solar and battery system. Participating in this program means you expressly consent to Sunrun or TXU Energy sending you emails, text messages and calls to your home wireless or work number as well as other notifications related to the program by a live person or automated service to the extent allowed by law. You may incur fees for calls and messages from your telecommunications provider for these communications. Participating in this program means you expressly consent to Sunrun or TXU Energy summarizing the results of the program in publicly-available studies, provided that any program data included in such studies will be anonymous such that you are not individually identifiable.
As a reminder, Sunrun will handle any personal information or data according to our privacy policy.
8. Program Opt Out
At any time during the program you wish to stop participating, you can unenroll by emailing grid@sunrun.com. Once your unenrollment is confirmed, you will no longer receive payments from TXU Energy and will be unable to earn rewards.
9. Disqualifications
Sunrun or TXU Energy may terminate your participation in the program at any time and without liability upon notice to you via email if you violate the program Terms and Conditions or applicable law, if you do not comply with any reasonable request from Sunrun or TXU Energy in connection with this program, if your account with Sunrun or TXU Energy is no longer in good standing, or if you do not maintain a continuous connection between your enrolled solar and battery system and your Sunrun service. Disqualification from the program will not affect any payment obligations you may have for your Sunrun account, and your Sunrun customer agreement will remain in effect. Disqualification from the program will not affect any payment obligation you may have for your electricity services with TXU Energy.
10. Additional Terms
Participation in this program will not affect your Sunrun service or your electricity service with TXU Energy If you have additional questions about the program, feel free to reach out to our customer care team at grid@sunrun.com.
These Terms and Conditions may change from time to time; the date of last revision is identified below. Your continued enrollment in the program acknowledges changes to the Terms and Conditions which means you accept those changes, so please check back periodically for updates. You will be notified if there are material changes related to your system or termination of this program.
These Terms and Conditions are only for your participation in this program; all other Sunrun terms and conditions regarding your system can be found in your Sunrun customer agreement.
