How Solar Battery Storage Technology Works

The battery charges depending on the size of the solar installation you have, and the amount of available solar power hitting the panels. On average, our battery hits full capacity by early to mid-afternoon. At full capacity, it can provide approximately 8 to 12 hours of backup power. This resets once the sun comes back up—at that point, the batteries recharge and homeowners have more of power.
If your system is larger, or it is sunnier, the battery may charge faster. In winter, you’ll still be able to effectively store energy. In fact, solar panels work more efficiently in colder temperatures.
Throughout the day, your solar energy system powers your home and keeps your battery charged. Now, if there is an outage in the night, Brightbox can power the things you care about most for approximately 8 to 12 hours or until the sun comes up again.
