Fossil Fuels Definition

Fossil fuels:

Fossil fuels were formed long ago when prehistoric plants and animals died - think woolly mammoths and giant Venus flytraps - and were gradually buried by layers of rock.

Surun Explains:

Fossil fuels like oil, coal and natural gas are non-renewable resources. They are used mainly as fuel for heating and transportation. Current research indicates that roughly 75 percent of greenhouse gas emissions come from burning fossil fuels.
