Open Letter To Sunrun Customers: It’s Time To Accelerate Our Mission

Sunrun and Vivint Solar Have Officially Joined Forces

Vivint Solar has officially joined the Sunrun family, catalyzing our movement towards cleaner, more affordable, and more reliable home energy for all. Using our shared knowledge and resources, the new Sunrun will be able to create better products and services for our customer base, which is now nearly 500,000 strong.

While energy is currently responsible for 80% of carbon emissions, we can change this by making clean and affordable energy more accessible to people across the country. Solar and other distributed technologies paired with consumers’ willingness to adopt them are going to dramatically change the way we use electricity. It will make energy more reliable and more responsive to stronger storms, flooding, and wildfires. Providing households with more energy choice is also critical to meeting the nation’s clean energy goals and reducing the impacts of climate change.

When we blanket all solar available rooftops with panels, we can serve almost half of America’s power needs. By adding a battery, we can also store localized power that can be shared between homes. This means less electricity will need to be shipped far distances to communities, lowering the risk of blackouts and energy costs for all. Sunrun and Vivint Solar can help shape this future together and create a planet run by the sun.

Now is the time for our next chapter. I know that Vivint Solar shares our commitment to creating the best possible workforce with exceptional people and serving our customers with passion and integrity.

Please join me in welcoming Vivint Solar into the Sunrun family!

Power Forward,

Lynn

The assumptions and estimates underlying the projected results are inherently uncertain and are subject to a wide variety of significant business, economic and competitive risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially from those contained in the projections. The inclusion of projections in this filing should not be regarded as an indication that Sunrun and Vivint Solar, or their representatives, considered or consider the projections to be a reliable prediction of future events.
