Review and Moderation Guidelines for Customer Ratings and Reviews

  1. All  ratings, reviews, comments and other material you submit (“Content”),  are subject to these guidelines and to the terms set forth in our Terms of Use which are expressly incorporated herein.
  2. We reserve the right, not the obligation, to publish your reviews on Sunrun.com and other online properties of Sunrun.
  3. Content and submissions that do not follow our review/moderation guidelines will not be posted.
  4. You must be over 18 in order to submit a review on Sunrun.com.
  5. You acknowledge that you, not Sunrun, are responsible for your submission.
  6. None of the content that you submit shall be subject to any obligation of confidence on the part of Sunrun, its agents, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners or third party service providers and their respective directors, officers and employees.
  7. Anyone who is a current customer of Sunrun may submit reviews about Sunrun, or products they are currently using or purchased. Non-customers may not submit reviews, or if a non-PTO customer submits a review, it is not eligible to be published until they are a current customer.
  8. Our goal is to provide substantive commentary for members to post their thoughts and opinions regarding Sunrun products and services. By screening submissions, we have created a space where customers can exchange intelligent and informed commentary that enhances the quality of our products and services.  However, any opinions, comments, reviews, advice, statements, or other information or content expressed or made available by third parties are those of the third party and not of Sunrun. Sunrun makes no representations as to the accuracy or reliability of such user content.
  9. While most comments will be posted if they are on-topic and not abusive, moderating decisions are subjective. Because of the volume of member comments, we cannot review individual moderation decisions with readers and generally cannot alter a comment once it is posted.
  10. We value thoughtful comments representing a range of views that make their point quickly and politely. We make an effort to protect discussions from repeated comments — either by the same reader or different readers.
  11. Comments are typically posted faster during business hours. Moderation can be less frequent in the evening and on weekends.
  12. We will remove or delete any submission that in our discretion, we believe:
    1. (a) is defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, or an invasion of a right of privacy of another person; (b) is bigoted, hateful, or racially or otherwise offensive; (c) is violent, vulgar, obscene, pornographic or otherwise sexually explicit; or (d) otherwise harms or can reasonably be expected to harm any person or entity;
    2. is illegal or encourages or advocates illegal activity or the discussion of illegal activities with the intent to commit them, including a submission that is, or represents an attempt to engage in, child pornography, stalking, sexual assault, fraud, trafficking in obscene or stolen material, drug dealing and/or drug abuse, harassment, theft, or conspiracy to commit any criminal activity;
    3. infringes or violates any right of a third party including: (a) copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary or contractual rights; (b) right of privacy (specifically, you must not distribute another person's personal information of any kind without their express permission) or publicity; or (c) any confidentiality obligation;
    4. is commercial, business-related or advertises or offers to sell any products, services or otherwise (whether or not for profit), or solicits others (including solicitations for contributions or donations);
    5. contains a virus or other harmful component, or otherwise tampers with, impairs or damages Sunrun.com or any connected network, or otherwise interferes with any person or entity's use or enjoyment of Sunrun.com; or
    6. is antisocial, disruptive, or destructive, including "flaming," "spamming," "flooding," "trolling," and "griefing" as those terms are commonly understood and used on the Internet.
    7. Mentions specific price paid or cents per kWh.
    8. We reserve the right to delete in whole, or in part, any posting that in our discretion violates any of the above provisions.
    9. We reserve the right to edit comments for clarity, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  13. We cannot and do not assure that other users are or will be complying with the foregoing . As between you and us, you hereby assume all risk of harm or injury resulting from use of this feature and any such lack of compliance.
  14. We reserve the right to modify these Review and Moderation Guidelines at any time. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the ratings and reviews platform at any time.
  15. We reserve the right to remove, condense or edit any reviews after publishing that we deem, in our sole discretion, may violate these Review and Moderation Guidelines or any provision of the Terms of Use.
  16. You understand that you may not have any recourse through Sunrun to edit or delete any content you provide.
  17. For content that you provide, including any that is covered by intellectual property rights like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission:
    1. Non-exclusive, transferrable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, in any medium, any IP content that you post on or in your review.
